What’s At Stake
Whoever leaves Paris with the AEW World Championship defends it in an eight-man Clockwork Carnage match at WrestleDream on October 17 in Orlando. Joe vs. Perry is the first qualifier for that match. After retaining against Jon Moxley at All Out, Ospreay challenged Okada at the post-show press conference, where Tony Khan made the match official.
Moné won the Women’s World Championship from Willow Nightingale at All In: London on August 30 and broke her nose in the match. She has wrestled once since, in a trios loss on the September 30 Dynamite. If she retains, she is booked to defend against Thekla at WrestleDream. Aminata earned the title shot by beating Julia Hart on Collision. She lived and studied in Paris before moving to the United States in 2013.
Kofi, a member of New Level, earned his ROH World Championship match by beating ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty.
Start Time And How To Watch
The show starts at 6 p.m. local time in Paris, which is noon ET. Dynamite airs tonight on tape delay at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and HBO Max, a day earlier than its usual Wednesday slot. Collision airs Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
Tickets
WrestleTix counted 5,643 tickets distributed as of Monday, against a current setup of 6,932 seats, with 1,289 still available. That is about 81 percent of the setup and up 657 from WrestleTix’s previous update six days earlier. The arena’s seating map lists 8,447 seats in total. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter in September that those inside AEW expected the show to sell out. At that time, the count stood at 5,802, so the current figure is below the mid-September level.
It is the ninth show in AEW’s Grand Slam series, which included Grand Slam Mexico at Arena México in August.
